REFRESHER COURSE FOR PAST ‘KUTTUMB SEVECHE ADHARI’ ORGANISED by DFSC on 15th June 2014

After a period of 2 years, 13 ‘Kuttumb Seveche Adhari' or members of the ToT to animate the family apostolate in the Parishes, met on 15th June'14 at DFSC Office, at 10 a.m. The meeting began with a short prayer lead by the Director, Fr. Kennet Teles. This was followed by the welcome and evaluation of the TOT program.
The questions for discussion were taken as follows:
A) Has the course impacted you? The response was positive ranged from 40% to 70%, each one explained their position.
B) Has the effect of the course spilled over into the relationship in marriage? Again the answer was positive ranging from 30% to 50%, the reasons were varied.
C) Where you been able to help your parish? The response was an empathetic. Yes, they admitted that a lot could be done, yet few initiatives have been taken by them, either directly or through the Parish Priest in safeguarding and upholding marriage.
The second session was an input given by Fr. Clifford Castelino, titled, " Eight different ways of making marriages happier". He also spoke of the 10 stupid things that hinder marriage.
The next session was on the concerns of the Holy Father where in Dr. Roshan emphasised took up the discussion on the nine questions in the Preparatory document issued by the Vatican for the upcoming III Extraordinary Synod of Bishops. The members felt that the Parish Family Service Cell would go a long way in helping families live their life to the fullest.
The meet ended at 1.15 pm with Mr. Michael invoking God's Blessing on our commitment and the food. The Director gave away some relevant course material to the participants for self study. Letters were also sent to their respective Parish Priests to initiate the process of starting Parish Family Service Cells in their Parish.
